Complaints & Board Investigations
Representation before the Florida Department of Health, professional boards, and AHCA.
A licensure complaint or board investigation is the moment a career intersects with a regulatory body that has its own pace, its own evidentiary standards, and its own interest in the matter. The early decisions, what to produce, what to volunteer, what to put in writing, frequently determine the outcome more than the substance of the underlying issue.
Initial response
We represent providers from the moment a complaint or notice is received. The first response shapes everything downstream. Our job in the opening weeks is to preserve facts, control the narrative, and make sure nothing is conceded that cannot be uncontested.
Through the investigation
We manage all communications with the Department of Health, the Agency for Health Care Administration, and the relevant professional board. We prepare the provider for any interviews and we draft every written response that goes out under the provider's name.
Hearings and settlements
We represent providers at probable-cause panels, informal hearings, and formal administrative hearings. Where settlement is the right path, we negotiate the terms; where it is not, we try the case.
