General Counsel
Day-to-day legal partnership for the practices that do not have an in-house attorney.
Most provider groups face a constant stream of small legal questions, an employment letter, a vendor agreement, a compliance question, a peer review notice, an insurance carrier dispute. Routing each one to a new firm is expensive and slow. We function as outside general counsel: on retainer, available, and already familiar with the practice when the question arrives.
What we cover
General counsel engagements typically include employment matters and HR review, vendor and supplier contracts, real estate and lease review, ongoing regulatory compliance, peer review and credentialing matters, professional licensure questions, and the routine corporate maintenance every practice requires.
How the engagement works
Most general counsel engagements run on a fixed monthly retainer scaled to the size of the practice and a defined scope of recurring work. Larger or unusual matters are handled separately and quoted at the start. The economics are designed so that a partner-level practice gets attorney attention without paying associate-level rates for predictable matters.
Who this is for
Provider groups from solo practices through multi-site organizations across Florida, physicians, surgical groups, behavioral health, ancillary services, and DME. If you are spending more time finding the right attorney than getting answers, this is for you.
